Catalogue
The catalogue lists skill packages available to your organisation — bundles of related skills published by AVUT or by another organisation, such as a first-aid package or an equipment-operation package. Every organisation can see the packages on offer, whether or not they've subscribed yet.
Key terms
- Skill
- — A single assessable capability within a skill package.
- Skill group
- — A named grouping of related skills within a skill package.
- Skill package
- — A reusable collection of skill groups and skills that can be assessed.
- Skill package catalogue
- — The set of skill packages available to an organisation in Skill Track.
Browsing a package
Open a package to see its contents, organised into skill groups, each holding a set of individual skills:
A group or skill carries two flags in the catalogue view:
- Included — shown as "Not included by default" when off. Once enforced, this will decide whether the skill/group is available to your organisation at all.
- Required — once enforced, this will decide whether the skill counts towards coverage statistics in reports.
Neither flag is enforced yet — they're descriptive only for now. Choosing which skills belong in a session is always a manual step on the session's Skills page (see Sessions), and every subscribed skill counts in reports regardless of "Required". Turning these into organisation-customizable settings is planned for a future update.
Subscribing
A package's skills only become assessable once your organisation subscribes to it — a one-click action (with a confirmation dialogue) on the package page. Subscribing is an organisation-wide decision, not a per-user one: once subscribed, the package's skills are available to every session your organisation runs. Unsubscribe the same way to remove it.
Building and publishing packages themselves is a separate area, available to
the skill-package-author role.
