Getting Started
AVUT is organised around organisations. If you belong to more than one, or have a pending invitation, signing in lands you on your personal dashboard, listing every organisation you belong to and any pending invitations — belong to exactly one with no pending invitations, and sign-in takes you straight there instead. From the dashboard — or from the scope switcher at the top of the sidebar — open the organisation you want to work in.
Key terms
- Module
- — A self-contained area of the app that an organisation turns on or off.
- Organisation
- — The account boundary in AVUT — people, data, and modules all belong to one.
Modules
Each organisation turns on the modules it needs. A module is a self-contained area of the app — equipment tracking, skill checks, notes, and so on. Only the modules your organisation has enabled appear in the sidebar.
Every organisation has the Admin module, which is where owners and admins manage people, teams, and invitations.
Navigating
- The sidebar lists the modules available to you. Collapse it with the toggle in the top-left.
- Breadcrumbs at the top of each page show where you are and let you step back up.
- The help button (
?) in the top bar opens the guide for the page you're on, without leaving it.
Getting help
If a guide doesn't answer your question, contact your organisation's owner or the AVUT team.
